“Influence is not about elevating yourself, but about lifting others.” ~ Sheri Dew
Last week I asked you to think about a person in your life that was highly influential to you. Maybe that person was a role model that you followed and looked up to. Someone who led you to the beliefs that you now live by. Maybe they taught you to think about things in new and different ways. Or maybe they were someone who was always challenging you to step up and be your best! Inspiring you to dream bigger and encouraging you to go after those dreams!
It is my hope that you were able to think of more than one person who has been highly influential in your life. I know that I have more than one. Some filling different roles and some coming at different times in my life. And while I am thankful for all of them, I am particularly thankful for the ones who inspire and challenge me! I would not be near the person I am today, if it weren’t for the people who have challenged me to be my best and inspired me to follow my dreams. The people who have supported me, helped me pick myself up (and laugh about it) when I’ve fallen and given me the loving but firm nudge I need when I want to stop. For these people, I am eternally indebted and grateful. And it is with great honor that I get to be that person for many others. For my clients, whom I challenge and inspire regularly to be their best and live their best lives. For my family and friends whom I encourage and champion on with each new endeavor or struggle. Influencing others is truly not about power and control to elevate yourself. It is in fact, about lifting others up because the more we can do that, the greater our world can be for everyone.
So let’s start now… let’s lift each other up! Inspire others who need someone to inspire them. Challenge them to grow and become the very best version of themselves. I mean – if not now, when? Seriously!
Who in your life could use some inspiration? Who in your life needs to be challenged to step up, skill up and fire up? Heck, maybe it’s even you that needs this. We can look at any situation as a time to give up and just wait for it to change or we can see an opportunity to level up and become better versions of ourselves. There is no doubt that you will be faced with uncertainty and struggles in life. And so will the people you love and care about. No one is exempt or exonerated from hard times. The question is, how will you show up in these moments? And will you be ready to lead and influence others to accept the challenges and level up with confidence and courage?
I want to challenge you to not only level up your own life but to influence and inspire others to do the same. Not sure where to start? Let me help… CLICK HERE to schedule a short Discovery Call to see if you are a good fit to join the Success Mastery Community. If you qualify, you could be eligible to receive one of FIVE scholarships I’m giving out to new members this month.
Why am I doing this? Well because I want to lead and inspire more people to be their best, so they can go out and influence others to do the same.
