Letting Go of Tension by Living with Intention – BONUS

Throughout this month I’ve given you several simple but powerful ideas to intentionally incorporate self-care into your life, in an effort to help you let go of the tension, stress and overwhelm that life seems to hand us on a regular basis.

What Does Balance Mean to You?

I had an opportunity recently to sit in on a group coaching call that one of my colleagues was hosting. He was teaching a segment on the concept of balance. Which happens to be a subject I love discussing because I’ve discovered in my years of coaching that most people struggle with balance more than they realize and it is often because they don’t understand it for themselves. Balance is so needed in our busy lives and yet so misunderstood.

It was interesting to hear his take on the concept. As he talked about defining balance and customizing our routines to fit, I couldn’t have agreed more!

Your Thoughts, Beliefs and Behaviors Equal Your Life

Something I know I have learned in my lifetime is that life can be uncertain, unpredictable, and out of our complete control at times. So, although I certainly wouldn’t try to predict where the next step of life might take me, I do believe that regardless of any external circumstances, your quality of life can be different, if you commit to shifting what you can control, which are your thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors.

So with this weekend being the first day of autumn, a time when everything is changing – the weather, the leaves, our clothes, and our activities – let’s also use this time of year to change our thoughts, our beliefs, and our behaviors.
